Do you feel out of step with your emotions?
Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what we are feeling, it’s hard to make sense of it.
But when you name it, you can start to process it and start to work through it. By acknowledging what you are feeling you will start to notice any recurring emotions or responses and by taking notice you get to decide if it’s a way you want to feel.
Now I’m guessing by the fact that you are here reading this is not because you are experiencing soaring joy, we don’t question our ‘good’ emotions as that is a great place to be. But the emotions that we are brought up to believe as negative are the ones that leave us feeling in a bad space.
What may surprise you is that there are no ‘bad’ emotions, there is always a reason for them and when you start to notice when they show up you can start to use them to support you.
Start today by noticing your feelings, looking at when they occur and whether it’s an appropriate response and then taking action.
By using your conscious mind to work through your immediate response by your subconscious, you can choose how you want to respond and with time, as it becomes more innate to you, you get to choose how you want to feel.
